Remote variants
1. Valve positioner with remote position detection
Prepared for extreme applications: The SIPART PS2 valve positioner with a separate remote position detection can be used for valves at difficult accessible locations or for particularly critical process conditions, such as extreme vibrations or temperatures, dust or water influences. The following external position detection systems can be distinguished:
1.1 External position detection system with non-contacting sensor (NCS)
- High distance between sensor and electronics is possible
- Suitable for applications with extreme dust or water influences (can also be used under water)

1.2 External position detection system with robust housing
- High degree of protection due to very robust aluminum housing
- Suitable for applications with extreme temperature influences and permanent vibrations

2. Valve positioner with remote control electronics
Special protection in radiation-polluting applications: Control electronics require special protection in environmental conditions with high-energy radiation. The SIPART PS2 valve positioner provides the option for separate, remote control electronics that are fitted in a control cabinet, whereas the position detection system and the pneumatic unit remain on the valve.
