What You’re Getting

Conventional temperature measurement requires one transmitter per sensor, one cable pair per transmitter, and one I/O channel per cable — expensive and space-consuming when you have eight temperature points in one reactor or distillation column. The 848T collapses all of that: eight sensor inputs into one head-mount transmitter, one Fieldbus cable back to the DCS, one segment coupler. Each input is individually configurable — you can mix RTDs and thermocouples on the same device. The Fieldbus output carries all eight process variables plus diagnostic data. Sensor drift detection compares inputs and flags deviations. The head-mount form factor mounts directly in a connection head on the sensor assembly. Ideal for reactor temperature profiling, heat exchanger monitoring, and multi-point temperature surveys where traditional wiring would dominate project cost.
